BCS Polska and the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing invite you to a special, one-day seminar titled “EPC – Radio Barcode”. During the meeting, which will take place on November 29, 2005, in Poznań, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, technological solutions and examples of RFID/EPC technology implementations will be presented.
The implementation of EPC (Electronic Product Code) technology allows for quick and simple identification of the contents of logistics packaging and enables effective real-time tracking of goods flow in an integrated supply chain.
The goal of the EPCglobal organization, which has also been established in Poland, is to provide companies with access to open, global standards. The standards developed by the EPCglobal community are fundamental elements in the process of creating the EPCglobal network, which combines RFID technology, existing network infrastructure, and the Electronic Product Code to ensure precise, cost-effective access to product information throughout the entire supply chain.
Special guest Peter Gooding from Zebra Technologies will present, among other things, a case study from Sony Entertainment b.v., which, as an SAP user, implemented RFID to track products from the distribution center to all stores. Jacek Liber, Technical Director at BCS Polska, will give a presentation titled RFID Technologies in the EPC Standard – Supporting Logistics Processes.
