ProLogis, the world’s largest developer of distribution facilities, is abandoning the principle previously held by warehouse developers of having an office within a logistics park. After absorbing Parkridge, the company expanded, and a need arose to house its office under one roof in the very center of Warsaw. Following the advice of Colliers International, ProLogis decided to lease 1,600 sqm in Lumen.
– Many companies now recognize the benefits of a prestigious location for their offices – comments Robert Karniewski, Director at Colliers International. – The decision these companies have made today ensures them stable growth for 3-4 years – he adds.
In the process of negotiating the terms of the office space lease in Lumen, Robert Karniewski also represented the company Vattenfall. The negotiations concerned 1,350 sqm on the 10th floor of the building. The move, prompted by the decision to consolidate offices in Warsaw and Gliwice, is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.
