The Dębica-based company TRANS-POŁUDNIE will launch one of the first logistics centers in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship this September.
Three years ago, the Management Board of TRANS-POŁUDNIE decided to build a warehouse center in Podgrodzie near Dębica.
– Outsourcing logistics services is a phenomenon we have been observing for several years, affecting an increasingly wider group of enterprises. Our company decided to meet the expectations of its business partners, as well as other Podkarpackie companies, by offering a comprehensive logistics service within a modern warehouse platform – comments Marek Pijar, President of the Management Board of TRANS-POŁUDNIE, on the decision to establish the center.
The TRANS-POŁUDNIE Logistics Center is being built in the town of Podgrodzie in the Dębica municipality, in the immediate vicinity of the international E4 route, which is part of the transit corridor connecting the eastern and western borders of Poland.
– The choice of location was not accidental. Its position near the main communication route leading from west to east, as well as its proximity to the Jasionka Airport in Rzeszów, means that the investment creates opportunities for developing the range of logistics services related to warehousing and storage in south-eastern Poland – explains Arkadiusz Łanocha, who is coordinating the investment.
A complex of facilities is being built on an area of over 6 hectares, which will primarily include a warehouse hall with social and office facilities, as well as a vehicle service station with a car wash and repair workshop. In the warehouse, goods will be stored on an area of 15,000 sq. m. The cubic capacity of the facility will be 210,000 cubic meters, and the maximum storage height will be 12 m. Furthermore, in the immediate vicinity of the buildings, there will be a parking lot for approximately 300 vehicles and appropriate maneuvering areas for trucks. The general contractor is the Skalski company from Kraków.
The comprehensive range of services provided will ultimately include warehousing and storage, transport and distribution of goods, palletizing, packaging, co-packing, and co-manufacturing. The facilities will be equipped with the most modern arrangement standards. The center will be equipped with a high-quality fire protection system and a monitoring system. The warehouse will be operated by the Quguar warehouse system.
Ultimately, the investment will provide jobs for approximately 100 people.
