The Wrocław-based IT solutions distributor, AB, has completed the first stage of expanding its logistics center in Wrocław. The project cost several million zlotys.
Within 60,000 cubic meters of space, the necessary product stocks have been gathered to quickly serve over 8,000 enterprises involved in the sale of information technology. The modern distribution center is operated by the integrated MFG/PRO management system provided by the Polish branch of the American company QAD. Each of the over 600,000 products stored in the warehouse has its own unique address, allowing for quick retrieval. Customer orders are automatically processed and transmitted to warehouse staff in the form of an optimized path to follow when picking a given sales order. Preparing shipments for the company’s clients takes place under the strict supervision of 136 cameras integrated with barcode scanners, allowing for the analysis of warehouse operations, error elimination, and continuous quality improvement.
