Kuehne+Nagel continues wine deliveries for British Airways

British Airways has renewed its contract with Kuehne+Nagel for the transport of wine supplied on board aircraft for catering served to passengers. The agreement covers the import of goods to the UK from Europe, South Africa, Australia, and the US West Coast.

Peter Hough, General Manager of Cabin Logistics at British Airways, said:

– The reach of the service offered by Kuehne+Nagel, combined with their collaborative approach and control over every stage of distribution, means significantly fewer issues with goods than ever before. In particular, K+N Login, an IT system that allows for full monitoring of the entire supply chain, is an invaluable tool.
In addition to imports to the UK, Kuehne+Nagel is currently responsible for regional distribution directly to the African branch of British Airways from food suppliers in South Africa, as well as suppliers from the Far East, who are supplied directly from Australia. Under the terms of the renewed agreement, Kuehne+Nagel will now also handle the transport of fruit juices from the Australian continent for airline catering on a global scale.
Peter Uber, member of the management board of Kuehne+Nagel for North-East Europe, commented:

– I am delighted to announce that Kuehne+Nagel and British Airways will continue their cooperation. We look forward to this forward-looking agreement and our shared commitment to ensuring British Airways customers have access to excellent wine offered during their flight.
