Wincanton Trans European Polska has started cooperation with ExxonMobil Poland and, under the concluded agreement, provides the new client with 3,000 pallet spaces in the central warehouse located in Błonie near Warsaw. The handling of ExxonMobil is another Wincanton project that provides integration with the SAP R3 system.
ExxonMobil chose Wincanton as its logistics operator in Poland primarily due to its high (third) position on the European market and the company’s industry experience, documented, among others, during cooperation with ExxonMobil in Germany.
The cooperation project includes the storage of automotive oils and lubricants in the central warehouse near Warsaw, as well as their distribution in Silesia and within a 100-kilometer radius of the capital. ExxonMobil products, such as the popular Mobil 1 or Esso, are packed in both cartons and barrels. The entire distribution is carried out in a hub&spoke system. The new warehouse location allowed for cost optimization due to the reduction of ExxonMobil’s warehouse locations from two to one.
ExxonMobil Poland is a member of ExxonMobil Corporation, an organization present in nearly 200 countries worldwide, which is the largest petroleum and natural gas exploration and refining corporation.
Wincanton Trans European provides services to most sectors of the European economy, focusing on the food, automotive, petrochemical, and industrial and consumer goods industries. It offers comprehensive logistics services (from warehousing and value-added warehousing services through international land and sea transport, domestic transport and distribution, to the organization of complete outsourced logistics systems and integrated supply chain management). Wincanton has 360 locations and 25,000 employees, and provides services in 15 European countries.
