The article presents the results of emission tests of a passenger car with a CI engine under road conditions – in such conditions, it is possible to obtain information about its actual emissions. The tests were carried out over a distance of several dozen kilometers while driving on sections with different characteristics. A mobile analyzer for toxicity testing, the SEMTECH DS by SENSORS, was used to measure the concentration of toxic compounds. The analyzer allowed for the measurement of the concentration of harmful compounds while simultaneously measuring the mass flow rate of exhaust gases. The obtained data were used to develop relationships characterizing the influence of the driver’s driving style on the emission of harmful compounds. The dynamic properties of the engine were taken into account indirectly, using a division of the entire speed range and the range of calculated acceleration in urban traffic to create an emission intensity matrix. The data used were averaged within individual speed and acceleration intervals, obtaining characteristics of the vehicle and engine operation share in individual intervals, as well as characteristics of the emission matrix of individual harmful compounds. The above results were used to determine the influence of the driver’s driving style on the emission of toxic compounds and fuel consumption.INFLUENCE OF BEHAVIOUR DRIVER ON VEHICLE ECOLOGY
The article presents the results of exhaust emission tests of cars with CI engines in road conditions – such conditions guarantee that the data obtained reflect the actual emission. The tests were carried out in sections of about a dozen kilometers in length in city traffic conditions. The SEMTECH DS mobile analyzer from SENSORS was used to measure the concentration of exhaust emissions.
Also the vehicle diagnostic system data were used in the tests, along with the GPS location system data. The data obtained were used for the analysis of relationships characteristic of the influence of the dynamic engine properties on the exhaust emissions. The dynamic engine properties were considered indirectly, using the division of the complete scope of speed and the scope of calculated acceleration in the city traffic to create the emissions intensity matrix. The data used (…)
