The article describes the proprietary SiRFLogger application which, in combination with a SiRFStar III GPS module, creates a measurement system. It enables chip control, recording of measurement data in SiRF format, and decoding them into CSV format. The authors presented the issues related to handling the SiRF binary protocol. Subsequently, the hardware platform used for testing the application was described, and the methodology applied for acquiring data from the measurement device was outlined. The logging application written by the authors was described in detail: attention was drawn to the program structure, its functions, operation method, and capabilities. Conclusions drawn from the activities carried out during the creation and use of the application, as well as the possibilities for using the application, are included in the last chapter of the article.There are various data formats on the market for GNSS navigation receivers.
