Szynaka Logistics provides logistics services for furniture manufacturers. Committed to the highest quality of customer service, the company decided to implement a solution proposed by SKK SA to streamline warehouse release operations.
As part of the implementation, SKK SA provided Szynaka Logistics with Intermec CK3 terminals featuring the proprietary SKK Smart software solution. The delivered software was integrated with the company’s warehouse management system in the shipping zone. SKK consultants also conducted training on system operation.
Until now, at the Szynaka Logistics center in Iława, warehouse releases were handled using paper documentation. Products were labeled with barcodes, but loading lists were created manually, which did not guarantee that the goods were packed correctly. Therefore, a solution was needed to enable effective loading control and streamline the warehouse release process.
The system proposed by SKK works as follows. A dispatcher assigns a created release order to a specific ramp and a selected warehouse worker, who is an operator of the SKK Smart application. After the order is assigned, the operator logged into the terminal retrieves the relevant order for processing. They then scan the SSCC code from the logistics label on the pallet, verifying the correctness of the release. The program prepared by SKK on the terminal checks the compliance of the goods and counts their total quantity. After scanning the pallet, the operator scans the loading ramp barcode, thereby confirming the correct delivery of the pallet to the loading area.
– Our cooperation with SKK is going smoothly. The solution implemented by SKK has allowed us to tighten loading controls. We now have 100 percent certainty that the goods are correctly labeled and loaded, and that the product marking codes are legible – says Kamil Rakowski, IT specialist at Szynaka Logistics.
The implementation of the system proposed by SKK has enabled the elimination of paper documents and reduced errors during goods loading. As a result, the product release process from the warehouse at the Szynaka Logistics center is fast and efficient.
