Among the transported goods, those over 20 tons prevail, according to an analysis of 2,000 inquiries submitted on the website http://www.oferteo.pl/. The presented data may be particularly relevant for those wishing to start their business in the transport services market.
Domestic vs. international transport
As the analysis shows, there is a similar demand on the Polish market for domestic transport (51% of inquiries) and international transport (49% of inquiries).
Domestic transport takes place most often within a single voivodeship, and the most active regions are Lower Silesian, Silesian, and Masovian. Transport between voivodeships most often occurs between: Silesian and Lower Silesian (3%), Silesian and Masovian (2%), Greater Poland and Masovian (2%), and Lesser Poland and Masovian (2%).
We most often import and export goods to European Union countries, among which the following are primarily mentioned: Germany (20% of all international transport inquiries), the United Kingdom (17%), France (12%), and Italy (8%).
