Active RFID technology in a Polish seaport

The essence of quantitative control during bulk cargo deliveries is the minimization of losses during unloading. In maritime transport, one of the methods for unloading bulk cargo is transferring the goods onto trucks, which are then weighed and directed to warehouses.

During unloading, there can be up to 2,000 truck trips supporting the unloading process, depending on their quantity, the mass of the cargo, and the number of available scales. In addition to taking cargo samples, the departure time from the quay, the arrival time at the warehouse, and the weight are recorded, where weigh slips are checked. Polcargo Int. experience indicates that under the above conditions, at least 7 employees per shift must be involved in supervising the unloading for this supervision to be effective.
