Want to expand your business to EU countries? Do it ONLINE!

Many entrepreneurs aiming to expand their business activities outside the country must meet specific requirements and regulations. Applying for licenses, permits, and carrying out administrative procedures in a foreign country can prove to be very complicated. To facilitate the provision of cross-border services, the European Commission has launched the SPOCS pilot project.
Since July 1st of this year, SPOCS has been offering entrepreneurs the opportunity to test new solutions. Entrepreneurs and service providers can be the first to carry out administrative procedures online across borders. The first SPOCS project services were launched for the following professions: travel agent/tour operator, real estate agent, and master builder. Business representatives can test new services that were initially launched in the following countries: Austria, Greece, Germany, Poland, and Italy. Additional countries will join the pilot in the autumn.

Want to expand your business to EU countries? Do it ONLINE!

Who can take part in the pilot?

  • Entrepreneurs interested in providing services outside the country,
  • Entrepreneurs interested in opening a branch outside the country,
  • Individuals and service providers interested in establishing a business outside the country,
  • Users looking for information on starting a business in the aforementioned professions.

How can you take part in the pilot? IT IS SIMPLE!
1. Visit the Point of Single Contact portal of Austria, Greece, Germany, Poland, or Italy
2. Use the search engine to find the procedure for a real estate agent or travel agent/tour operator
3. Follow the procedure step by step

What do you gain?

  • access to clear and comprehensive information,
  • completely secure electronic procedures,
  • a simple and modern solution,
  • a reduction in restrictions related to establishing a business outside the country,
  • validation of electronic signatures from abroad,
  • standardized formats for document exchange.

For example: A real estate agent from Italy wants to expand their business to the Bremen region in Germany. The information provided by the Point of Single Contact in Bremen does not specify which equivalent documents from Italy are required. Is it possible to access the necessary information without leaving the office? Will the electronic transaction be secure? Yes! SPOCS will enable the administrative procedure to be carried out online through the Point of Single Contact.
