Solaris Bus & Coach S.A. has signed a contract with the Municipal Transport Company (MPK S.A.) in Krakow for the delivery of 100 low-floor city buses. The value of the contract is 115 million PLN.
The agreement covers an order for 73 Solaris Urbino 12 buses and 27 articulated Solaris Urbino 18 buses. All vehicles will be equipped with, among other things, air conditioning for the driver’s cabin and passenger area, video surveillance, and ticket machines. The delivery of the buses to Krakow will begin in September of this year and is spread out until June 2014. To date, 139 buses from Bolechowo near Poznań are already operating in the colors of Krakow’s MPK. The dachshund, which is the symbol of this bus brand, wears a traditional Krakow cap in Krakow.
