A total of 30 tons of goods from Hungary, Slovakia, and Sweden were transported, including canned food, tents, blankets, sleeping bags, clothing, gloves, and rubber boots. This aid is urgently awaited in the prefectures most affected by the disaster and has been appreciated by the Japanese authorities.

– We are pleased that we could assist the European Commission in organizing transport for the people of Japan. By adjusting our flight schedule and supporting everyone involved, we quickly delivered aid directly to one of the areas most affected by the tsunami – said Ken Allen, CEO of DHL Express, and Karl Ulrich Garnadt, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo, in a joint statement.
