Last year, TNT fulfilled the main objectives of its strategy. Additionally, based on experience from the market of specialized services offered to companies in the medical industry, TNT expanded its offer of temperature-controlled transport, addressing it also to other market sectors, including pharmaceutical, food, and chemical. In 2010, the TNT Cross Border service was also introduced – a delivery system in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, utilizing extensive domestic distribution networks in these countries. Infrastructure investments in 2010 included, among others, the establishment of a regional road freight center for Western Poland in Poznań, as well as further expansion of operational centers and warehouses, including in Bydgoszcz and Wrocław. Interest in TNT services necessitated an increase in the cargo capacity of the aircraft operating between Warsaw, Liege, and Moscow – the BAe 146 machine was therefore replaced by a Boeing B737. Last year, TNT exceeded its assumptions regarding the modernization of the courier fleet, achieving a 70 percent share of vehicles equipped with engines meeting Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards. In 2011, TNT plans, among other things, dynamic development of specialized and forwarding services, and expansion of the Cross Border service to other Central and Eastern European countries. Infrastructure investments will include further expansion of transshipment warehouses.
