Between March 1-3, 2011, the Transport Week 2011 event will take place at the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk. The main theme of the event will be: “Integration vs. competition in the transport sector: The Baltic Region and Central and Eastern Europe”. The event consists of three conferences: Baltic Ro-Ro and Ferry Conference, Baltic Container Conference, and Railport Conference.
The topics covered at Transport Week 2011 will focus on, among others, the following issues:
– Changes in the structure and directions of trade (the influence of China and Russia).
– New corridors on the map of Europe – impact on the transport sector. Has the crisis changed anything?
– Central Europe – directions of cargo handling – via the Baltic, North Sea, Black Sea, or the Adriatic?
– Integration of maritime and land transport – intermodal carriers, port operators, shipping lines – who is acquiring whom?
– Ro-Ro, Lo-Lo, or road transport in the directions of Baltic – Great Britain, Baltic – Spain and Portugal.
The 5th edition of the international Baltic Ro-Ro & Ferry Conference is an event aimed at companies and organizations representing the maritime industry, ferry carriers, and Ro-Ro operators. Every year, the conference is attended by over 80 decision-makers from the Baltic Sea Region specializing in the maritime industry.
The international Baltic Container Conference gathers over 100 key representatives from the maritime transport sector every year. The high substantive level of the conference and its unforgettable atmosphere, conducive to exchanging mutual experiences and making new valuable contacts – these are the greatest assets of the 5th edition of the international Baltic Container Conference.
