On September 23-24, the largest e-commerce conference in Central and Eastern Europe, “e-nnovation,” took place in Poznań. The meeting was attended by e-business specialists, entrepreneurs, managers, investors, and bloggers. Nearly 500 participants listened to 20 lectures by e-commerce industry representatives from all over the world.
During the two days of the conference, guests discussed the situation in the e-commerce market, new trends, directions, and barriers to industry development. As Petteri Koponen, one of the speakers, said, Europe has potential – educated and talented engineers and programmers, experienced marketing and sales specialists, as well as great reserves of creativity. An excellent example of creativity was the 150 projects submitted to the “Start with e-nnovation” competition. Innovators from several European countries submitted their business ideas in the IT industry.
The competition’s Program Council recognized Squeeqly, a project by innovators from Romania based on shopping using social networks, Twitter, and Facebook, as the best idea. The creators of Squeeqly received 10,000 euros. The audience award went to the Polish project Zubibu, a platform enabling the launch of an online store in a mobile version for iPhone and iPad. One of the first online stores to use this solution is Cyfrowe.pl, which holds the Euro-Label Certificate.
Among the finalists were also AllePack – outsourcing of warehousing and distribution for small and medium-sized e-stores, digital alphabet, Taskker extending Outlook functionalities, and Sponsia integrating sponsors and event organizers.
