In the Łódź Voivodeship, in Działoszyn, one of the most modern cold stores in Poland is being built. The investor is Grzegorz Mordalski, founder and owner of the “Anita” company, which has managed to gain a significant share of the ice cream market and the position of an undisputed leader in the production of flour-based culinary products.
– After 15 years of production, we have two cold stores in the Działoszyn municipality and we rent three facilities across the country. In external warehouses, it is difficult for us to maintain our quality standards or working conditions, hence the idea to build our own new facility. Thanks to this decision, in addition to consolidating the plant in one location, about 40 new jobs will be created. Recruitment and training are already underway. Thus, the number of people employed at the plant will increase to 600. – said the company owner.
The opening of the warehouse is scheduled for the end of 2010. The total storage capacity is 16,000 pallets distributed across three chambers.
To manage the entire facility, the OPTIpromag WMS program is being implemented, with the Krakow-based company Optidata handling the launch. After the implementation of the OPTIpromag warehouse module, the transport module will be launched next, followed by production.
