Since January 2010, the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing has begun distributing the MonZa Edu application, which supports inventory optimization. The program was designed as a tool to support the teaching process in warehouse laboratories in secondary schools training logistics technicians, as well as at universities. The first implementation was carried out at the Poznan School of Logistics. The application complements the textbook “Inventory and Warehousing. Volume 1. Inventory” by St. Krzyżaniak and P. Cyplik, and the book “Inventory and Warehousing. Examples and Exercises” by P. Andrzejczyk and J. Zając.
The basic functionalities offered by MonZa Edu focus on two pillars: assortment classification (ABC, XYZ analysis) and inventory analysis (inventory structure analysis, ratio analysis, total average inventory holding cost).
