Control systems for industrial doors equipped with a frequency converter extend the service life of high-speed doors by at least three times. This is particularly important for users of industrial and logistics halls where the frequency of door cycles is very high. Control systems equipped with a frequency converter gently set the door in motion, accelerate it to full speed, and then gently decelerate it before reaching the end position. This avoids jerking and thus protects the entire mechanical system of the door, especially the drive and gears. As a result, the service life of the door is significantly extended, and the door itself can operate at higher speeds. Faster door opening reduces drafts and eliminates heat loss. Doors equipped with frequency converter controls allow companies using the halls to minimize operating costs. Hörmann offers three types of controls enabling various applications: single-phase BK 150 FUE H controls and BK 150 FUE H equipped with a UPS emergency opening function, both operating at 230 V, and the three-phase AS 500 FU E control operating at 400 V. Frequency converter controls – BK 150 FUE H – protect the door mechanism through gentle acceleration and deceleration. In Hörmann high-speed doors, FU controls with a frequency converter are now available at no extra charge.
