Wincanton, a provider of advanced supply chain services, has expanded its expertise to include the transport of oversized cargo.
Last month, the company had the opportunity to coordinate the transport of an 11-meter ship hull from a shipyard in Szczecin to a shipyard in Darłowo. This is another transport of unusual cargo carried out by the International Maritime Transport Department of Wincanton.
The subject of the latest order was the transport of a ship hull approximately 11 meters long, about 3 meters high, and over 3 meters wide. To enable transport, the cargo was cut and then transported along a 200-kilometer route from the shipyard in Szczecin to the shipyard in Darłowo.
– We would like the transport of oversized cargo to become our regular service. We have already established contacts with road hauliers who specialize in the transport of “difficult” cargo. We hope that our experience gained in previous transports will encourage more clients to use our company’s services – says Ryszard Warzocha, Managing Director CEE, Wincanton Poland.
The transport of the hull is another oversized cargo transport carried out by Wincanton Poland. The company also organized the transport of flat rack containers with Chinese machinery cargo for a Polish recipient.
