After capturing 45% of the market in Poland, Panattoni Europe has accelerated its expansion into neighboring markets. In the first half of 2009, the Czech branch of Panattoni signed new lease agreements for 35,000 sqm of space, and the developer’s flagship investment in the Czech Republic, Panattoni Park Prague Airport, was almost fully leased. Following its successes in Poland and the Czech Republic, Panattoni Europe is entering the Slovak market. The developer was invited to participate in a joint venture in Slovakia by AXA REIM Europe, which is managing the expansion of the Trnava Industrial Park. This is a modern, tailor-made industrial and logistics center located at a strategic point in the western part of the country. The park is situated approximately 1 km from the exit of the E75 motorway (Bratislava – Zilina), near the PSA (Peugeot – Citroen) factory. The proximity to Bratislava ensures access to a qualified workforce. Currently, the park has over 50,000 sqm of completed Class A industrial space. It is set to be expanded by another 130,000 sqm. Panattoni offers the realization of built-to-suit modules starting from 2,000 sqm, with shapes and sizes adapted to the needs of tenants. Existing infrastructure, prepared land, and obtained building permits will allow for the delivery of buildings within 6-8 months from the date of signing the contract. Current tenants of the park include well-known manufacturing and logistics companies such as Faurecia, Calberson, Inergy, Streit, Gefco, ABB, Sofitec, Premier, Datalogic, and Plastic Omnium.
