mySAP ERP in private higher education institutions

The Towarzystwo Edukacji Bankowej SA Holding has decided to implement the SAP ERP Integrated Management System with a Data Warehouse. The project will be carried out by SI-Consulting SA. GAVDI SA is responsible for the implementation of the HR module.

SAP ERP is becoming a tool increasingly used by higher education institutions both globally and in Poland. An example is Towarzystwo Edukacji Bankowej SA (TEB), which has decided to implement it in its parent company, subsidiaries, and the higher education institutions that are part of the Holding.

– The process of selecting the right IT solution was long. We wanted to achieve the project’s established goals and translate them into benefits – says Łukasz Pestka, Vice President of the Management Board and Project Manager on behalf of TEB SA. – Until now, several independent financial-accounting and HR-payroll systems have been operating within the TEB SA Holding entities. Now we have the chance to create a central installation and optimize business processes in a dynamically developing organization.

– The project is a major challenge for us – explains Paweł Rytelewski, President of the Management Board of SI-Consulting SA. – It will involve the implementation of unified procedures used in accounting as well as HR and payroll across individual TEB Holding entities (including the Higher Education Institutions). The implementation is further complicated by the fact that the entities for which it will be carried out are scattered across the country.

The project will cover TEB SA, TEB Akademia sp. z o.o., and the Banking Schools in Poznań and Toruń. The following modules will be implemented: FI – Financial Accounting, AA – Asset Accounting, CO – Controlling, HR – Human Resources and Payroll, BW – Business Warehouse, BC – Basis. In the next stage, the implementation will cover the Banking School in Gdańsk and the Banking School in Wrocław.

After the completion of the first stage of the implementation, 90 users will be using mySAP ERP. According to the assumptions, this number will increase to 120 after a few years. TEB is considering expanding the system in the future with other modules, such as soft HR or project management.
