Xpertis at PGK Słupsk

Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Komunalnej Sp. z o.o. in Słupsk has purchased the Xpertis IT system from Macrologic SA through an open tender. The contract is being executed by BiCom Sp. z o.o. from Słupsk. The subject of the agreement is the delivery, installation, and implementation of licensed modular ERP management software, including training in its use and operation.

The system implementation covers the financial area, including: finance and accounting, fixed assets, electronic banking, cash settlements, accounting reporting and financial information, as well as logistics; management of tools issued to employees; and handling of contracts and requests, including maintenance management. The main goal of the system implementation is more effective planning of municipal waste collection and disposal, as well as managing settlements with contractors.

Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Komunalnej is a municipal company, with all shares held by the Municipality of Słupsk. The company was established in 1992 as a result of the transformation of a municipal enterprise. Currently, PGK employs nearly 300 people. The company provides solid waste collection services based on contracts concluded with individual clients or enterprises operating in the cities of Słupsk and Ustka and surrounding municipalities.

One of the assumptions of the ongoing Xpertis system implementation is the integration of the contractor database and the standardization of all contracts. The introduction of the ERP system will support PGK’s work in the area of managing waste collection logistics and recycling. According to data for 2008, 4,245 thousand kg of plastics, household glass, waste paper, non-ferrous metals, scrap metal, and wood were sent for recycling.

The implementation of the Xpertis system is a consequence of the company’s quality policy and maintenance of standards in accordance with ISO requirements. The completion of the implementation is planned for the end of October this year.
