It is a truism to state that an efficient enterprise logistics system determines its level of competitiveness. However, the more complex the processes are, the more functions are assigned to individual links in the supply chain, and the more links there are, the more the problem of maintaining an appropriate level of supply chain efficiency will grow.
In this article, we present the main principles of the logistics system of the Francaise de Mecanique (FM) enterprise, whose main production plant is located near Lille, in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, in northeastern France.
