Dachser in Latin America and Asia

Dachser is expanding its operations in Latin America and Southeast Asia. In January, the international logistics operator, Dachser, expanded its network with two new locations: in Chile and Thailand. Both operate as joint ventures.

In Chile, half of the shares in the newly formed company, Dachser Chile SA, are held by Logistica Industrial SA, one of the most renowned Chilean logistics companies. Dachser Chile SA is led by Rolf Gremler, Dario Poblete, and Martin Reichner. According to Thomas Reuter, Managing Director of Dachser responsible for Air & Sea Logistics, the cooperation with the Chilean operator will quickly bring the expected benefits: – Chile offers excellent economic conditions and is also constantly investing in infrastructure. With our international service, we can provide attractive solutions and expand cooperation to other Latin American countries.

Until now, in the Americas, besides Chile, Dachser has had branches in the USA, Mexico, and Brazil. Dachser has also expanded its operations in Asia. In January, a new company, Dachser AFL Thailand, was established, represented by the Indian joint venture AFL Dachser Pvt. Ltd, with its headquarters in Bangkok. AFL Dachser holds 90% of the shares, with the remainder belonging to local shareholders. The company is managed by Jittimit Somchart and Detlev Janik.
– We are an international company whose experience is appreciated by partners from as far away as Chile or Thailand. The development of our network in Asia and Latin America is primarily a benefit for our current and future customers. It is also an opportunity to strengthen our position in the international logistics market and expand our knowledge of new regions – emphasizes Grzegorz Lichocik, President of Dachser in Poland.
