As in many other companies, the EURECA system will be used in two areas:
- Analytical, which will cover the full scope of financial and accounting records. In this case, one of the sources will be the Navision system operating within the company.
- Budgetary, enabling the creation and management of the company’s cost and revenue budgets.
In subsequent phases of the implementation, the analytical part will also cover the area directly related to the logistics services provided. In addition to the implementation itself, Controlling Systems consultants also provided advisory services regarding the modeling of budgeting processes and the optimization of the chart of accounts.
Another interesting aspect is the organization of the company’s management: Trade Trans has a multi-branch structure. A separate income statement is created for each branch. Such an organization requires a fairly complex budget model and efficient tools to support the consolidation of financial data at the company-wide level. Thanks to the EURECA system, all work related to creating budgets and financial reports for Trade Trans will be significantly automated and will take less time than before.
