time:matters, a logistics company belonging to the Lufthansa Group, opened its second office in Poland at the Katowice airport on November 24, 2008. This means that the Polish branch of the company, which specializes in providing courier services, sameday deliveries, and emergency logistics, now has its own service team in the south of the country in addition to its headquarters in Warsaw. The new office, which is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, is located in the cargo terminal of the dynamically developing Katowice airport in Pyrzowice. In addition to the new office in Katowice, time:matters has clearance points in five other major airports in Poland: Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, and Poznan.
Companies operating in the industrial agglomerations of southern Poland will benefit the most from the opening of the office in Katowice – they will gain access to flexible and customized “special speed” services offered by time:matters for the transport of express shipments on international routes; this applies in particular to the Katowice region, where industries such as high-tech, mechanical engineering, aerospace, and automotive (in the case of the latter, both manufacturers and suppliers) are strongly represented.
In addition to access to the dense global Air-Rail-Road transport network belonging to time:matters, the opening of the new office also provides customers with other benefits: the company’s employees have extensive experience gained in the local market regarding the specific requirements of customers from the southern Poland region; they work closely not only with customers but also with local partners.
