The Actia Consulting team has developed a report analyzing the performance of Polish seaports in the first half of the current year.
The uncertain situation in the bulk cargo market is negatively affecting transshipment levels (liquid fuels), while there is dynamic growth in the group of unitized general cargo (containers, Ro-Ro). Investments made in the ports in recent years are beginning to yield the expected results, especially regarding container terminals. At the same time, the process of developing potential is still ongoing – the creation of a new container terminal in Szczecin, or the concept of building a Ro-Ro passenger terminal in Gdynia (under the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Program for 2007 – 2013) are just the most important elements.
