Material supply in enterprises with non-flow production and service organization – part 2
Non-flow production and service organization is likely the most popular organizational form today.
It is an intermediate link between stationary and flow organization. It occurs in enterprises where stationary organization is insufficient, while at the same time there are limitations preventing the application of a flow organizational form. The stationary organizational form is used in projects characterized by the execution of the entire task by one person or a group of people without the flow of tasks. The task is carried out from beginning to end by assigned people and equipment, which must be constantly available regardless of its utilization level. An example would be a hairdresser who performs all the activities that make up the task independently – washing hair, cutting, drying, styling, etc. – while having at their disposal a whole range of equipment that is assigned to this specific task for the duration of all activities.
