Over 18,000 people trained in logistics, 30 training modules, 170 individuals holding a logistics certificate recognized in all European Union countries, and a group of 32 trainers representing the elite of Polish logistics constitute the achievements of 10 years of the Logistics Education Center’s operations.
Centrum Edukacji Logistycznej Sp. z o.o. (Logistics Education Center) was established in 1997 by separating training activities from the structures of the Institute of Logistics and Warehousing in Poznań. The Institute provides substantive supervision and scientific oversight for the programs of training conducted by CEL, and also serves as a forge for the training staff. The training offer is constantly enriched and expanded in response to market needs. Currently, the Logistics Education Center offers consultations and training in the field of broadly understood logistics as well as GS1 standards, based on training programs proven through many years of practice. Courses conducted by CEL meet the standards required by the EUROPEAN LOGISTICS ASSOCIATION – their goal is to prepare participants for exams for the JUNIOR and SENIOR certificates of this Association. These certificates are awarded individually by ELA and serve as confirmation of qualifications in the field of logistics. CEL’s training offer also includes closed training sessions based on modified programs tailored to the needs of a given company or client. Such training can be enriched with consultations on topics of interest to the client company. High quality of training and consulting has been achieved through:
• Proprietary training programs tailored to the needs of the ordering company.
• Use of interactive methods that develop the ability to practically apply acquired knowledge in professional work.
• Employing a staff of professional lecturers and consultants with extensive practical experience.
CEL also implements training projects financed by European funds. These include both open and closed training sessions. In December 2005, Centrum Edukacji Logistycznej Sp. z o.o. began the implementation of a nationwide project: “Logistics Management of a Modern Enterprise – Training Staff of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises,” co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund. The goal of this project is to train management staff and operational employees of small and medium-sized enterprises in the field of logistics management of an enterprise. Within the framework of this project, CEL has trained over 600 people, for which the Management Board of the Logistics Education Center is highly rated by the Managing Authority – PARP.
For its overall educational activities, in September 2001, the Union of Wielkopolska Residents awarded the Logistics Education Center the “Wielkopolska Quality” certificate, and in 2007, the company received a Diploma from the Minister of Regional Development for the exemplary implementation of a European project related to training for SMEs, titled Best Investment in People.
