Little Red Riding Hood with GPS

Once upon a time, when no one in their right mind wondered whether logistical behaviors were innate or learned, there lived a little girl. She would wander for hours through the surrounding meadows and forests, picking wildflowers and chasing butterflies.

She talked to the people she met along the way and sang to the animals. It often happened that she returned home when the day was already turning gray and the owls were hooting softly. Little Red Riding Hood, as she was called, was a good girl, just quite carefree. It never crossed her mind that she might get lost one day. She loved her grandmother very much, so one time, when the old woman fell seriously ill, the girl in the red jacket grabbed a wicker basket with medicine and eagerly ran out of the house. Grandma’s cottage stood far away, on the other edge of the forest. The path was treacherous, branching off and disappearing somewhere among the ominous trees…
We all remember what happened to Little Red Riding Hood. The poor girl entered the dense forest, got lost on one of the paths, and met a wolf…
Well, today’s realities leave no illusions; the only creature that would stumble upon Little Red Riding Hood would be, at most, a half-dazed squirrel, or perhaps the neighbor’s poodle. And besides, let’s face it – most kids already have mobile phones, with which it is increasingly difficult to get lost in our asphalt world, especially if they are equipped with the so-called Global Positioning System (GPS).
