The concept of an Integrated Management System of the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) class does not mean much to the average small business owner. It is generally assumed that this concept refers to large systems in large companies.
Can we implement this type of software while running a small business with limited financial resources?
ERP is an IT system that allows for the automation, integration, and analysis of processes occurring within an enterprise. It was created as a successor to the MRPII system, so initially, it was used by manufacturing companies. Over time, due to increasing user requirements and interest from other market sectors, ERP was enriched with new modules (Fig. 1). The direct successor to the ERP system is ERP II, which is characterized by free operation in a network environment (Intra/Internet). Through evolution, the functionality of ERP was preserved and combined with the company’s participation in the e-market.
