AUTOS is one of the largest distributors of spare parts for heavy-duty vehicles in Poland. For a distribution company, the priority is fast and reliable delivery fulfillment, which is why they chose PB SAFO solutions on the HP Integrity platform.
The company AUTOS from Solec Kujawski was founded in 1991. Today, it is one of the largest distributors of spare parts for heavy-duty vehicles in Poland, employing over 300 people. The AUTOS sales network consists of a central warehouse and 46 branches. AUTOS is also a Renault Trucks concessionaire. The company also operates a network of its own workshops.
– We want our customers to experience professional service and fast order fulfillment at all our branches. – says Marek Sałek, President of PW Autos – We realize that for our customers, waiting for spare parts delivery means downtime for their trucks, which translates into concrete financial losses.
The extensive AUTOS sales network requires dynamic management of warehouse space and delivery planning based on current and consistent data. This is only possible through the implementation of an integrated system supporting enterprise management.
– Before implementing the ERP system, we used software that was, one could say, makeshift. Although it is hard to believe today, a few years ago each branch had a separate application, and the exchange and updating of order data was done using… floppy disks. – says Marek Sałek, President of PW Autos.
To streamline and fully automate distribution processes, PW Autos chose the ERP system from PB SAFO, which manages sales at the headquarters and the company’s 46 branches. The solution runs on the HP Integrity platform.
The safo.biz.auto system is a modern and complete IT solution dedicated to the automotive industry. Customers have constant and fast access to a continuously updated database of the assortment and the ability to configure orders independently 24 hours a day. Thanks to this, orders are fulfilled within one day. The Safo.mag application streamlines and optimizes warehouse management, providing detailed and up-to-date information. Thanks to radio terminals operating in on-line mode, employees have freedom of action and constant, direct contact with the warehouse system.
– The priority for a distribution company is fast and reliable delivery fulfillment, which is why choosing an IT solution that guarantees appropriate performance and the highest level of availability was so important to us. – says Marek Sałek, President of PW Autos.
To ensure this, PB SAFO decided to implement a high-availability cluster at AUTOS, consisting of two HP Integrity rx4640 servers running under the control of the HP ServiceGuard application.
Distribution of goods to retail and wholesale customers takes place from the central warehouse and from each of the 46 branches. Thanks to the implementation of the PB SAFO ERP system on the HP Integrity platform, AUTOS can guarantee customers the availability of all basic parts practically immediately, and shorten the delivery time for others to less than 24 hours.
At the same time, thanks to direct access to a well-stocked warehouse, repair time has been significantly reduced, which has a huge impact on customer service quality – as every hour of truck downtime means concrete financial losses for the carrier.
– Thanks to the implementation of the integrated ERP-class system from PB SAFO on the HP Integrity platform, we have full control over the company’s operations and turnover with individual customers. We see the status of order fulfillment and warehouse stocks in our branches in real-time. This allows for efficient management of warehouses with a very large number of items and for a significant acceleration of order fulfillment. – says Marek Sałek, President of PW Autos.
