The book discusses the functioning of road transport, with particular emphasis on the volume of transport, its changes over time, and the structure of enterprises based on the number of vehicles. It also highlights the role of the relationship between the economic development of provinces and the development of transport, and characterizes the issues of financing the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector, including EU financial aid.
The topics covered include: liberalization as an instrument for shaping transport, characteristics of road freight transport, the state of Polish domestic transport, and its development prospects.
In the preface to the book, we read: “The purpose of this publication is to introduce the transport community, as well as students or those interested in transport problems, to the role and place of road freight transport by providing a synthetic set of information in this area and its analysis.”
