Goodyear FleetOnlineSolutions

Over 100,000 vehicles covered by Goodyear FleetOnlineSolutions contracts.

FleetOnlineSolutions, a tire management system created by Goodyear for truck and bus fleets, has reached a significant milestone. The system now has over 100,000 vehicles in its database, representing a tenfold increase in two years. At the beginning of 2005, the FleetOnlineSolutions database counted only 10,000 serviced vehicles. Today, it is a sector worth nearly 25 million euros, covering 23 countries – including Poland – and 280 contracts signed with fleet operators.

FleetOnlineSolutions (FOS) is an integrated system that stores all customer data, requirements, and agreed-upon costs. The FOS platform operates online, ensuring that Goodyear TruckForce service providers, whether they run regular fleet workshops or provide road assistance services in other countries, have constant access to information in their own language and the ability to carry out all necessary work, issue invoices, or update the system. In turn, FOS provides customers with online access to contracts, tire dealers (TruckForce), retreading services, and Goodyear’s Serviceline 24h roadside assistance.

FOS guarantees that tire-related services are performed on time, exactly according to customer requirements, and at a pre-agreed cost. The service provider updates the system as work progresses, and the customer has online access to the necessary fleet data and the ability to monitor the progress of work. The system also offers a payment guarantee. The service provider receives payment directly from Goodyear, and the customer receives a centrally issued invoice, usually once a month, which simplifies settlements. Other benefits for operators resulting from the system include access to online reports and full operational visibility.

– FleetOnlineSolutions solves most of the problems that typically arose with tire service contracts. The main advantages of FOS are: transparency, simplicity of billing, and flexibility regardless of the scale of operations. All this makes Goodyear’s solution the most modern and comprehensive available on the market, including the Polish one. – said Janusz Krupa, Truck Tire Manager at Goodyear Poland Group. – We are pleased with the rapidly growing number of signed contracts, as it reflects the trust that Polish and European truck and bus fleet operators place in our system. – added Janusz Krupa.
The FOS system was launched in 2003. Two years later, its database contained about 10,000 vehicles, but one of the elements that currently makes it so popular, namely the customer reporting module, had not yet been introduced. It is now one of the main advantages of the entire system.
FOS was gradually introduced in larger European markets, thanks to which the number of vehicles registered in the system doubled by the end of 2005, reaching 20,000. Last year, 55,000 TIP Trailer vehicles, serviced by the General Electric rental company, joined the system. This contract, covering over 10 countries, was implemented in just three months.

The functionality of the FOS system is constantly being improved. The most important project in 2007 was the introduction of the Post Authorization process. It allows the customer to approve work via the Internet. Post Authorization was successfully introduced in the UK at the beginning of September this year.
