This type of window covering, in addition to protection against radiation, protects against vandalism and burglary. Depending on the application, they can be installed on the inner or outer surface of the window. The use of window film allows the user to see the surroundings without being seen from the outside.
In summer, they reflect solar heat outwards – solar heat reduction is up to 80%. In winter, the film reflects escaping heat back into the room; in this case, heat loss reduction is approx. 30%. Therefore, the use of film also allows for lower operating costs of air conditioning units in summer and heating costs in winter. Two new exterior window films have just been released for sale, offered by the company Warsfoll. Both are intended for use on polycarbonate.
A completely new construction, chemical composition of the adhesive, and durability parameters ensure good sun protection properties. Depending on the intended use, two types of film are available in the offer: mirror film or matte film in Silver color. Thanks to new protective coatings, these films are perfectly suited for use on roofs made of polycarbonate.
Mirror film Silver 20 exterior PC – heating reduction by approx. 30%, total solar energy rejection at the level of 80%, UV radiation blockage. The film works well wherever maximum protection against overheating is required, as well as the possibility of visible light transmission through the polycarbonate with the film in an undisturbed manner.
Matte film Solar Block 05 – due to its matte nature, it is recommended for facilities where the priority is not the transparency of skylights but the effectiveness of stopping solar radiation. The UV blocking filter increases the durability of objects exposed to fading that are located in the area of solar radiation.
