The Russian company Macromir wants to support Wal-Mart’s entry into Russia. Partnership talks between the two companies have been ongoing since May. If the talks culminate in the signing of an agreement, then Wal-Mart stores will enter the chain of large shopping complexes built by Macromir – and the latter company claims that the talks are already very advanced. However, the newspaper DBC Daily cites the opinions of experts dealing with the Russian retail market, who believe that Wal-Mart has no intention of signing an agreement with Macromir at all. They explain this by the fact that Wal-Mart is not conducting any other talks or negotiations with potential partners on the market.
