Motorola introduces new wireless scanners

Motorola has introduced two new wireless scanners operating on Bluetooth technology – the LS3578-ER and LS3578-FZ. The LS3500 series scanners, designed for use in warehouse, distribution, and manufacturing environments, are equipped with solutions enabling operation in extreme conditions. The new devices offer high performance during shipping and receiving, inventory management, asset tracking, and forklift operations.

The LS3578-FZ scanner utilizes “fuzzy logic” technology based on advanced scanning algorithms. This solution enables precise and fast reading of worn, damaged, dirty, and poorly printed barcodes, which are commonly found in warehouses and production halls. The LS3578-ER scanner can read barcodes from a distance of 10 cm to nearly 14 meters, providing the largest working range of any rugged laser scanner available on the market.

– The new LS3500 series of wireless scanners increases the productivity of workers who can move freely within their work environment – collecting data quickly and efficiently. Our scanners are reliable devices for anyone looking for the highest quality and reliability in data capture processes in harsh environments. – said Bob Sanders, Vice President and General Manager of Advanced Data Capture at Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions.

The new scanners are IP65-rated, guaranteeing a high degree of protection against moisture and dust. The devices also withstand drops from a height of 2 meters onto hard surfaces. Both the LS3578-ER and LS3578-FZ models use Bluetooth technology, which allows for the integration of the scanners with other devices compatible with this standard – such as vehicle-mounted mobile computers. The scanners in this series operate using Remote Scanner Management technology, which allows facility administrators to instantly locate scanners and simultaneously send multiple software updates from a single, central location.
