Warehouse space market – in the Moscow region – part 3

In the two previous issues of “Logistyka”, general trends in the development of the warehouse space market in Moscow and the surrounding area were presented, including: the standard and modernity of existing facilities, their size, rent levels, and the structure of demand for warehouse services. The greatest demand for warehouse space – over 2/3 of total demand – comes from logistics operators who use facilities built by developers on a rental or lease basis. More and more of these entities are deciding to build their own facilities. One of the leaders in the Russian warehouse services market is the company “LIT-Terminal” (with 100% Russian capital). In 2002, the company was a laureate of the “Logistics Operator of Russia 2002” ranking (sixth position in the main ranking based on economic results in 2001) and was ranked fifth among warehouse operators in the “Logistics Operator of Russia 2003” ranking (a detailed discussion of the results of this ranking will be included in the next issue of “Logistyka”).

The article comes from the magazine “Logistyka” 5/2004.
