As of May 4, 2007, Rohlig Poland has launched a new export groupage line to Bulgaria.
In Poland, this line will be operationally handled by the Rohlig Poland branch in Tychy (the Rohlig company has a network of 11 branches throughout Poland). Regular transport of groupage cargo for export will take place once a week between the terminals in Tychy and Sofia.
Rohlig’s partner on the Bulgarian side is Unimasters Freight Xpress LTD. Unimasters has been on the market since 1990 and is part of the Unimasters Logistic PLC group – a leading logistics operator in the Black Sea region, serving clients from many branches and sectors of the economy. In practice, this means that the company is prepared to handle not only FMCG market leaders and high-tech manufacturers, but also small and medium-sized suppliers requiring high-quality service.
– With the accession to the European Union, we expect an intensification of trade between Poland and Bulgaria and we are planning further expansion of our groupage service in Southern Europe – says Karol Miszta – Groupage Product Director at Rohlig Poland.
The new groupage line to Bulgaria is another step towards the development of Rohlig Poland’s transport and logistics services in Central and Eastern Europe. Since 2006, based on terminals in Tychy and Brno, Rohlig Poland, in cooperation with Lagermax, has been handling groupage shipments in 10 Southern European countries: Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, and Slovenia.
