The air freight office of Schenker Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw is the most important agent for Swiss International Air Lines in air freight forwarding in Poland.
In the first quarter of this year, a ceremony was held in Warsaw at the initiative of Swiss International Air Lines to summarize the results of air cargo shipments carried out in 2006. During the meeting, Hans Nillson, Managing Director Europe, and Roland Zistler, Regional Manager CEE Europe, presented a diploma to Wojciech Puzyński, head of the Air Freight Office at Schenker Sp. z o.o., for achieving first place among Swiss International Air Lines agents.
– For the record, we took 1st place ex aequo with Hellman and DHL, which is a very good result given the several dozen participants. In previous years, we were off the podium. This award shows us how, over the course of a few months since the start of the consolidation of Schenker and BAX Global, there has been an increase in air cargo transport just within this airline. – explains Wojciech Puzyński.

Swiss International Air Lines is one of the most important European carriers, handling both passenger transport and cargo shipments. The number and flexibility of connections, as well as the professionalism of Swiss World Cargo at Warsaw’s Okęcie airport, enable fast and efficient air cargo transport to over 150 airports worldwide. These very advantages are why the Schenker Air Freight Office uses Swiss aircraft so often and willingly.
– The No. 1 position shows that the work and commitment of our team have been recognized. Our clients benefit from this, as such an important partner as Schenker receives privileged cooperation terms from the airline, e.g., a package of special rates, attractive deadlines, etc. – says Wojciech Puzyński, head of the Schenker Air Freight Office in Poland.

Schenker’s results show that its own network of air charter connections, built over five years, is bringing visible results. The network is being created through the full chartering of flights from various airlines, including Swiss. Schenker has once again taken the top position in air freight reports. Among other things, it is at the forefront of prestigious IATA (International Air Transport Association) rankings.
– The fact that Schenker is developing its own offer of charter flights means that the company’s internal statistics regarding air transport are growing by a dozen or so percent per year, which results in a change in Schenker’s positioning on the European market. – concludes Wojciech Puzyński from Schenker Sp. z o.o.
