With Schenker from Poland to northern Romania

Schenker Sp. z o.o. has opened another regular groupage connection with Romania. Taking into account Romania’s accession to the EU and the resulting new opportunities for client development, Schenker’s new groupage line is the first connection in Poland outside of Bucharest. – Schenker’s existing Poland – Romania connection, operating on the market since June 1, 2006, was carried out directly to the Romanian capital. The currently launched one concerns the Krakow – Bucharest route, but also includes transshipment in Cluj in northern Romania – explains Tomasz Cegielski, Director of International Land Business at Schenker Sp. z o.o.

Schenker’s new groupage line is characterized by the optimization of delivery times for Polish goods distributed in the northern part of Romania. – Thanks to the creation of a transshipment point in Cluj, a significant portion of shipments covers a shorter route. If the destination of the goods does not require it, they do not have to be transported to Bucharest, from where they were previously distributed throughout Romania, including its northern part. Such a solution means significant time savings and cost reductions – adds Tomasz Cegielski.
