DHL Express Poland has received a certificate and an award in the ecological competition conducted as part of the nationwide “Company Close to the Environment 2006” program. A total of 35 companies were nominated and received certificates. Only 3 of them, including DHL Express, were awarded for special achievements in this field. The organizer of the initiative is the Business Promotion Forum, and the Honorary Patronage over the project was taken by the Minister of the Environment.
The goal of the “Company Close to the Environment 2006” program and ecological competition was to examine enterprises in terms of pro-ecological, strategic management of organizations. The assessment was based on the results of an audit conducted in the companies participating in the program. Pro-ecological strategies, eco-efficiency management, and compliance with legal requirements regarding environmental protection were thoroughly checked. The result achieved by DHL Express Poland was highly rated by the competition jury, which decided to award it a certificate and a distinction for “building and developing ecological business responsibility”.
