The ending year was one of the best in the history of TNT Express Poland – the Polish branch of the global provider of express transport services for institutional clients.
In 2006, TNT Express solidified its position as the market leader in international courier services in Poland – currently, the company’s market share is 41 percent (data based on estimates by the Express Carriers Forum). TNT intensified its activities in the domestic market, including investments in infrastructure: 6 new branches were opened (in Białystok, Częstochowa, Kalisz, Opole, Piła, and Radom). To improve the level of service, the Polish branch of TNT Express implemented a new telephone customer service system based on VoIP internet telephony – it was rolled out to all company offices in Poland.
– We not only met but exceeded all our plans for this year – says Robert Mianowski, General Manager of TNT Express Poland – We achieved nearly 30 percent revenue growth – the dynamics in this regard are the highest in 4 years, which places the Polish branch of TNT Express at the forefront of the company’s European offices.
The development of infrastructure was accompanied by marketing activities aimed at further increasing brand awareness – including an image campaign under the slogan “We deliver your success,” as well as a partnership with the European Film Awards (the final gala of the event, supported by TNT for 10 years, took place in December in Warsaw). Furthermore, TNT engaged in educational activities – cooperation with academic centers and student research groups was intensified.
The company’s actions were appreciated by both clients and industry experts. It was the highest ratings from entities using TNT’s services that secured the company’s victory in the 2006 Logistics Operator of the Year research program (the analysis covered the opinions of clients of 33 leading transport and logistics companies in Poland). In turn, experts from the “Top 500: Most Effectively Managed Transport and Logistics Companies” program recognized TNT Express as the best-managed transport company in Poland (the study covered the 500 largest companies in the industry).
