The second stage of the construction of the “Wrota Małopolski” (Gateway to Małopolska) system, the regional part of the “Wrota Polski” (Gateway to Poland) project, has been completed. The system, already implemented at the Marshal’s Office in Krakow, has now been expanded to include the ability to handle official matters via the Internet and new thematic modules, such as: Education, Culture, Disabled Persons, Work, and Health. Through it, residents of the Małopolska Voivodeship can now check the status of an official case online, file a complaint, application, or inquiry, pay fees for environmental use, wholesale trade permits for alcoholic beverages, procedures related to the sale of a car, and the issuance of parking cards
, fishing cards, and many others. Its implementation is intended to allow citizens and legal entities to use electronic services offered by regional public administration offices. The Public Information Team at the Marshal’s Office of the Małopolska Voivodeship worked on the substantive part of the system and the preparation of content throughout 2003. From the technological side, the system was prepared by ComArch SA.
