Wincanton has announced the acquisition of 100 percent of the shares of the private company RDL Holdings Ltd. for an initial debt-free consideration of GBP 22.0 million. A further GBP 5.0 million may be paid depending on RDL’s financial performance achieved in the period up to December 31, 2007.
RDL is a supply chain service provider for the construction and building materials industry in the UK. RDL’s clients include companies such as: Ibstock, Hanson, Lafarge, Brett Landscaping, H&H Celcon, Forticrete, and Omya. RDL employs 350 people and operates 200 vehicles across 38 construction sites in the UK, making it a nationwide company.
