Partnership in logistics knowledge management

Specialized companies come and go. The problem remains within the enterprise: how to translate the achievements and consequences of an implemented project into a complex work environment and new opportunities to achieve a competitive position in the market. How to turn spent money into success.
Many managers in practice struggle with the actual course of complex, systemically linked, and interdisciplinary interdependencies of logistics with other enterprise functions in its economic processes. The challenges of reducing total chain costs, uniform cargo identification in the partner chain, eliminating losses, and many others, covering complex conditions of relations with the market environment, require ongoing analysis and are not an easy task. To this, one must add tracking new technologies and organizational solutions, as well as the art of implementing them in close connection with suppliers and customers, in order to better serve the client and increase the product’s competitiveness in the market.
The vast task area of logistics management has its measurable reflection in the very capacious scope of duties of operations directors, logistics directors and managers, and, of course, their teams. Here are two statements collected just within recently implemented projects and deployments:
The implementation of an organizational and IT system for supplier management is a stage of gradually moving towards supply chain control and analyzing the possibilities of outsourcing the production of many components. We are doing this to be able to focus more precisely on customer needs and increase production capabilities and flexibility without building new factory halls. This is a completely new path for us, also new for many of our suppliers. We are slowly building our strategy rather intuitively, driven by current benefits, not knowing exactly how, with what tools, and what the effect will be on our financial and competitive position. Seeking help among experts and specialized centers, we often encounter the problem of a lack of a properly dedicated offer, the necessity of familiarizing them with the functioning of our enterprise and our connections with suppliers. And often, a small hint is needed, but within one or two days.
