Supplier evaluation in the construction industry – the case of Krispol

Market relationships between suppliers and manufacturers are changing. If suppliers, as manufacturers, want to gain benefits through their influence on customers, they must reckon with the fact that customers will not remain passive towards them and, in competitive conditions, do not have to maintain traditional cooperative ties. In the new conditions, the procurement department must analyze its relationships with existing suppliers and, after evaluation, consider whether there are other entities on the market that could provide more favorable terms for the supply of the sought-after goods.

Supplier selection should be carried out based on an evaluation according to adopted criteria. Krispol Sp. z o.o. is a manufacturer with over 14 years of experience in the construction industry. All of the company’s products are manufactured in accordance with safety standards applicable under Polish construction law, and their quality is confirmed by Technical Approvals and the ISO 9001:2000 Certificate. Constant cooperation with renowned European suppliers is a guarantee of the high quality of products and services offered by the Company.
Among the main suppliers are companies from Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, and Italy. In order to ensure the best possible quality of products and services, the Company employs qualification of suppliers of components and services, which is carried out by its employees. The Quality System Representative of the Management Board is responsible for establishing the elements of evaluation or qualification criteria. The list of qualified suppliers is approved by the General Director of the Management Board.
Meanwhile, the Logistics Manager and the Marketing Manager analyze and review supplier evaluations; develop lists of qualified suppliers; are responsible for their verification; prepare, compile, and store data for supplier evaluation; and analyze the market and search for new ones.
