A mobile future?

The employee on the fly
The number of so-called “mobile employees” across Europe is expected to rise from 8 to 20 million. This means a real revolution. Is it also awaiting Poland? For now, concerns about this type of employment prevail in our country. A mobile employee is someone for whom the office is their own home, car, hotel, or even an airport. From there, they contact their boss or colleagues via phone or computer network. They rarely appear at the parent company’s headquarters.
Benefits for everyone
This type of employment means significant benefits for the company. The price per square meter of office space in the centers of large cities is high, and there is no indication that it will drop significantly in the near future. A large number of employees sitting in the office every day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM translates into a large number of desks and computers. These, in turn, mean a large number of square meters of office space. And that means high rent. Moreover, “mobile work” also offers numerous benefits for the employee. Especially an employee with an artistic soul, but at the same time with high self-discipline. Someone who likes to start work when they have creative inspiration, but who is also capable of tirelessly sitting in front of a computer all night. Someone capable of independently organizing a reasonable action plan, as well as executing it at the right time. Not everyone meets all the above criteria. But undoubtedly, there are many such people.
– I would gladly take a job as a mobile employee – admits Barbara Biela, a part-time student living in Krakow, currently unemployed and looking for work.
– For me, this type of employment would mean peace and a lack of stress. I would set my own working hours. I would turn on the computer when I actually had something to do. No one would stand over me and demand that I perform superficial tasks.
